Dutch Oven Outfitters - Important Information

HORSES & TRAILERS

BRING YOUR OWN HORSE & TRAILER

Traveling to Your Dutch Oven Class with Horses, Trailers, or Living Quarters

Yes… you can bring your own horse, trailer, or living quarters setup.

But this is working land, not a campground.

So there are a few important things you need to know before you show up.

🔥 THE SIMPLE ANSWER

✔ Horses are allowed
✔ Trailers and living quarters are allowed
✔ Tents are allowed

👉 BUT everything must be approved ahead of time

No surprises when you arrive.

⚠️ WHAT’S REQUIRED (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

To bring a horse onto the property, you MUST have:

✔ Current Coggins test (negative)
✔ Up-to-date vaccinations
✔ Healthy, travel-ready animal

This protects:

✔ Your horse
✔ Other animals on-site
✔ The property

No paperwork = no entry.

🧭 STEP-BY-STEP: HOW TO BRING YOUR HORSE

Step 1: Email ahead of time (before booking or arrival)
Step 2: Tell us what you’re bringing (horse, trailer, tent, etc.)
Step 3: Send proof of Coggins + vaccinations
Step 4: Wait for approval
Step 5: Arrive prepared and self-sufficient

That’s it. Simple process… just don’t skip steps.

🏕️ TRAILERS, TENTS & LIVING SETUPS

You’re welcome to bring:

✔ Horse trailers with living quarters
✔ Camp trailers
✔ Personal tents

But keep this in mind:

✔ This is a working property, not a full-service RV park
✔ No full hookups (water, sewer, electric)
✔ You need to be self-contained

🐾 IMPORTANT PROPERTY NOTES

We run a real Montana setup out here.

✔ Working ranch dogs are on-site
✔ Farm animals may be present
✔ Wide open space, but still structured

👉 Your animals must be well-behaved and under control at all times

🔥 IS THIS THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR YOU?

Bringing your own setup is great if you:

✔ Travel with horses regularly
✔ Are comfortable being self-contained
✔ Want more independence during your stay

It may NOT be the best option if:

✔ You’re new to hauling or camping setups
✔ You prefer comfort and convenience
✔ You don’t want to manage extra responsibility

💬 REAL TALK

This can be an incredible experience…
but it comes with responsibility.

You’re bringing your world with you.
Make sure you’re ready for that.

❌ WHAT NOT TO DO

🚫 Don’t show up without approval
🚫 Don’t forget paperwork
🚫 Don’t assume hookups are available
🚫 Don’t bring animals that aren’t controlled

That’s where problems happen.
