LIABILITY WAIVER, ASSUMPTION OF RISK & HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT

The information, instruction, and experiences provided by Dutch Oven Outfitters are offered for educational, recreational, and experiential purposes only. Participation in any class, demonstration, or activity involves inherent risks.

By choosing to participate in any Dutch Oven Outfitters class, event, or activity, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

ASSUMPTION OF RISK

Participants understand and acknowledge that Dutch oven cooking involves the use of:

• Hot charcoal briquettes
• Open flame fires
• Extremely hot cast iron cookware
• Sharp tools and cooking utensils
• Uneven outdoor terrain and natural elements

These conditions create inherent risks including, but not limited to:

• Burns from hot coals, fire, or cast iron
• Smoke inhalation
• Cuts or injuries from cooking tools
• Slips, trips, or falls
• Fire-related hazards
• Weather-related conditions

By participating, you voluntarily assume full responsibility for any and all risks, injuries, damages, or losses that may occur.

PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITY

All participants are expected to:

• Follow all safety instructions provided
• Use caution when handling hot materials
• Maintain awareness of surroundings at all times
• Act responsibly around fire, equipment, and other participants
• Immediately report unsafe conditions

Failure to follow safety guidance or engaging in careless or reckless behavior increases the risk of injury and is solely the responsibility of the participant.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY

By participating in any Dutch Oven Outfitters activity, you agree to release, waive, and hold harmless:

Sheila Dwyer, Jon Kelly, Annette Wilder, and Dutch Oven Outfitters, including all owners, instructors, staff, volunteers, contractors, and representatives,

from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, injuries, losses, or expenses arising from or related to participation in any activity.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Personal injury or burns
• Property damage
• Accidents involving fire or equipment
• Negligence or misuse of tools by participants
• Weather-related incidents
• Any form of carelessness or failure to follow instructions

CARELESSNESS CLAUSE

Dutch Oven Outfitters, Sheila Dwyer, Jon Kelly, and Annette Wilder shall not be held responsible or liable for any injuries, damages, or incidents resulting from participant carelessness, negligence, failure to follow instructions, or misuse of equipment or fire.

Participants acknowledge that safe participation is a shared responsibility and that their individual actions directly impact their safety.

MEDICAL & PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

Participants are responsible for:

• Their own physical condition and ability to participate
• Any medical conditions that may affect participation
• Bringing appropriate clothing and protective gear
• Exercising personal judgment regarding safety

Dutch Oven Outfitters does not provide medical supervision.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT & AGREEMENT

By attending or participating in any Dutch Oven Outfitters class, event, or experience, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk Agreement.

You understand that you are participating voluntarily and accept full responsibility for your actions and safety.
